Schoolbag in hand, she leaves home in the early morning
Waving goodbye with an absent-minded smile
I watch her go with a surge of that well-known sadness
And I have to sit down for a while

이른 아침 책가방을 들고 손 흔들며
미소를 띄며 그녀는 집을 나서죠
무심한 미소를 지으며 안녕이라고 손을 흔들었죠
밀려오는 슬픔을 느끼며 가는 그녀의 모습을 봤죠
그리곤 난 잠시 앉아있었어요

And without really entering her world
I'm glad whenever I can share her laughter
That funny little girl

매번 그느낌을 잡으려고 해봤지만
내손가락 사이로 빠져 나가는듯 해요
나는 정말 그 앨 잘 알고 가깝다고 생각했지만
자꾸 클수록 내곁에서 멀어져만 가요

우리는 졸린 눈으로 아침식탁에 앉죠
잠이 덜 깬 상태로 소중한 시간들을 보내버리죠
그녀가 떠나간 그 자리에서 난 그 이상하고도 슬픈 감정,
그리고 부정할 수 없는 죄책감 같은 걸 느끼죠

The places I had planned for us to go

그 멋지기만 했던 모험에 무슨 일이 생긴걸까요
우리가 가기로 했던 곳들
몇 곳은 갔지만, 대부분은 그렇지 못했죠
왜 그랬는지는 나도 모르겠어요

매번 그느낌을 잡으려고 해봤지만

나는 정말 그 앨 잘 알고 가깝다고 생각했지만
자꾸 클수록 내곁에서 멀어져만 가요

 가끔 그장면을 멈출수만 있다면 하고 바라기도 해요
그리고 우스웠던 시간의 장난들로 모면하기도 하죠
손가락 사이로 빠져 나가는 듯해요...

항상 손가락 사이로 빠져 나가는 듯해요
이른 아침 책가방을 들고 손 흔들며 미소띄며 그녀는 집을 나서죠

뮤지컬 원작을 영화한 작품이다. 와이프의 권유로 기대없이
보게되었지만 보고난 후의 감동은 엄청났다.
그 중 가장 감동적인 장면은 어머니가 딸의 결혼치장을 해주는 장면이었다.
홀로 딸을 키운 어머니의 모든 감정이 느껴지는 장면이었다.
그리고 댄싱퀸을 부르며 뛰쳐나가는 어머니들은
예전 소녀의 모습들이었다. 그 장면에서 노래는 신났지만
왠지모를 감동이 밀려왔다.

뮤지컬 전체가 70년대 전설적인 그룹 ABBA의 주옥같은 곡들로 이루어져있다.
귀에 익숙한 노래들은 얼마나 신나게들 부르시는지
영화를 보는 내내 입가에 미소를 머금고 보게된다.

이 영화를 나중에 부모님께도 보여드려야겠다.
